Every Manufacturer on Cosora Is Now Verified

Document checks, a physical address confirmation and a signed supplier agreement now sit behind every seller badge on the platform.

The three checks behind a verified badge: business documents, a physical address for sellers who opt in, and a signed supplier agreement.

What changed

Every manufacturer listing on Cosora now carries a verification badge backed by three checks rather than a self-declaration.

The three checks

Business documents

GST registration and PAN are validated against the registered entity name before a seller can list. Mismatches are rejected, not flagged.

Physical address

For sellers who opt into physical verification, a certificate is issued against a confirmed address. The address on the certificate is a snapshot taken at purchase, so it reflects what was verified on the day.

Supplier agreement

Every seller accepts a supplier agreement at onboarding. That acceptance is recorded once and is not editable afterwards by anyone, including our own admin team.

What this means for buyers

A verified badge now tells you the entity behind a listing is a real, registered business at a known address that has agreed to platform terms. It is not a quality rating, and it does not replace your own sampling. It removes the first category of risk, not all of them.

A verified badge tells you the seller is a real, registered business, at a known address where verified, that has agreed to platform terms. It is not a quality rating, and not a substitute for your own sampling.

Verification tells you who you are dealing with. Getting a price you can actually compare from them is a separate skill: see how to write an RFQ that gets comparable quotes.
