The Cosora Journal

Company

What is changing on Cosora, why it changed, and what it means for the buyers and manufacturers who use the platform day to day.

A marketplace only works if both sides can predict how it behaves. When we change who gets verified, how quotes are surfaced, what a vendor must supply before listing, or how an order is tracked to delivery, that change lands in somebody's week. This section is where those changes are explained in full rather than announced in a banner and left to be discovered.

Company posts cover platform and policy: verification standards and what we actually check, changes to how requirements are matched to manufacturers, new categories and services as they open, and the occasional correction when we have got something wrong and have had to undo it.

We write these in plain terms and with the reasoning attached. A policy without its reasoning is just a rule, and rules that arrive without explanation get worked around rather than followed. Where a change has a cost for one side of the trade, we would rather name it here than let it be found in the middle of an order.

This is also the record. Sourcing decisions are made against what a platform promised at the time, so it matters that the promises stay readable after the fact. Posts are dated, kept up, and corrected in place rather than quietly rewritten.

If you are deciding whether to bring a production run or a product catalogue onto Cosora, this section is the honest version of what you are joining.
